Sri Lankan Ribbon Cake…so delicious!
Here’s the recipe for my mom’s 60th Birthday Cake!
1.5 Cups of Butter
4 Eggs
1.5 Cups of Sugar
1.5 Cups of Floor
ΒΌ Cup Thick Milk
2 levelled teaspoons Baking Powder
ICING
1 Cup of Butter
2 Cups of Sugar
1 tablespoon Thick Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
INSTRUCTIONS ——————————-
METHOD
Beat Butter and Sugar until soft and creamy. Add eggs one by one. Add Vanilla and mix well. Add flour and baking powder gradually in small quantities and mix well. Add milk. Divide the mixture into three or two portions and colour with pink, green, and yellow very lightly.
Grease the pan with Butter and cover with flour. Pour the three mixtures alternately in the pan and bake for 20 minutes at 200 degrees centigrade temperature.
ICING METHOD
Beat Butter and Icing sugar (add sugar gradually) until soft and creamy, Add Milk, Vanilla Essence and beat further. Colour the icing mixture with a desired colour.
Once the cake is baked, cut it into two equal size portions. Sandwich it with the icing thereafter.

Thanks I tried and came soft and tasty. Only I think I like to have a baking sheet at bottom as it sees to stick at bottom.
