In honour of World Poetry Day (March 21, 2014), I’d like to you introduce you to Author and Poet, J.M. George.
“As a deep expression of the human mind and as a universal art, poetry is a tool for dialogue and rapprochement. The dissemination of poetry helps to promote dialogue among cultures and understanding between peoples because it gives access to the authentic expression of a language.”

Interview with Author & Poet J.M. George – Part I
Your new poetic book, Libido?
Libido is a compilation of poetic erotica for the open-minded individual.
What was your inspiration for the Libido?
Libido wasn’t a book at first, it’s been written over a span of 10 years. It started off as one poem…
The world has become more sexually liberated, I felt 2014 would be the right to time introduce my book to the world.
Poetry is fun, it’s a play on words, it paints a picture for the reader.
What outlets have you used to publicize your book?
I utilize social media and post on my blog, Facebook, Twitter and connect with other poets for #FloetryFriday
The most creative way you’ve written a poem?
Text & Talk on my phone…in the car…lol
How long have you been writing poetry?
10 years and counting
What are the closest people to you going to say about your book, are you afraid of being judged?
I want my audience to take it for what it is, it’s ART. I’ve been afraid to push the envelop, but I’ve let go of the fear. I’m a poet.
When is the release date?
It was February 13, 2014, day before Valentine’s smiles
What’s your favourite poem in Libido?
The Continuation, it’s the first erotic poem I ever wrote. I wrote it eight years ago, it’s the first poem in the book.
Are there photos in the book?
Not each poem is associated with an image, I wanted some of the pictures to tell a story. I want the audience to feel comfortable freeing themselves sexually; indulging in that secret part of their personality. I hired Lawrence Kerr as my photographer because of his creativity, I knew he would be able to capture my vision for Libido.
Three words to describe the cover?
I—WANT—YOU!
Have you ever ‘played’ out any your poems in ‘real’ life?
That’s my secret…laughs
Will there be a Libido II?
Yes, more for my male readers.
